Fifty and fabulous …

My friend, Lynn, had a rather special birthday recently – I just couldn’t resist making her a girlie pink card to celebrate …

I die cut the words and numbers from pretty in pink cardstock, using the timeless type junior alphabet dies, and mounted them onto whisper white cardstock.  The regal rose grosgrain ribbon was wrapped around the card and tied in a neat knot.  Finally I added some adhesive rhinestones for a little sparkle…

Here’s what you need to make this card – all supplies are from Stampin’ Up!

cardstock: whisper white, pretty in pink; punches: fancy label, ; accessories: stampin’ dimensionals, regal rose grosgrain ribbon (retired), adhesive rhinestones, timeless type sizzlit dies (sold out).

Top note 30th birthday wishes …

One of my favourite designer series paper from this year’s main catalogue from Stampin’ Up! has to be ”beyond the garden”.  The colours are so bright and cheerful, and the floral patterns are so pretty.

So, when I needed a 30th birthday card I just had to use some of this gorgeous designer paper.

I adhered the designer paper onto a confetti white cardstock base and wrapped a length of marina mist grosgrain ribbon (retired) around it. I used the new framelit dies from the summer mini catalogue to cut an aperture in the centre of a top note die cut in crumb cake.  I popped this up on stampin’ dimensionals and used it to frame the number and birthday greeting.

For that touch of luxury, I finished off with some adhesive pearls.

All supplies from Stampin’ Up!

Stampin’ Up medallion for Ruby Wedding wishes…

My friend Jill and her husband celebrated their Ruby Wedding anniversary this week, so I wanted to make a special card for them. I started by stamping the beautiful medallion background stamp from Stampin’ Up in cherry cobbler ink onto very vanilla smooth cardstock…

There were some areas that didn’t stamp fully but that added to the look I wanted and gave it a vintage feel. I then mounted it onto a cherry cobbler A5 card base.

I added some gorgeous victoria crochet trim, pleated across the card and stamped the sentiment underneath. The numbers and 2 sizes of hearts were die cut with my timeless type junior alphabet dies run through my big shot machine, and then adhered with stampin’ dimensionals.

Finally, I used 3 sizes of adhesive pearls on the card, giving a luxurious feel.

Jill and her hubby are going on holiday back to where they had their honeymoon… this time to enjoy visiting there with some money in their pockets – bless! But how romantic is that? Still in love after 40 years of marriage – bliss.
