A Holly Berry Christmas……

At my Stampin’ Up party in November, we made 3 different Christmas projects …

This cute little reindeer gift, using the two tags die from Stampin’ Up, was one of the projects on display on the Stampin’ Up stall at the Birmingham NEC in November.  It is so easy to make – the ladies loved it!

And the sweet wrapper die from Stampin Up makes the cutest little Christmas crackers.

We used edge punches to make paper ribbons to decorate the boxes, and stamped and punched out labels and holly too.

We used floral patterns from the Holly Berry Bouquet designer series paper to make bauble cards.

And with Christmas just around the corner, these will make perfect gifts.

A Big Shot Christmas…

My daughter knows just how much I love Christmas and made me this beautiful felt Christmas decoration…

She is so clever – I love it!  And it’s taken pride of place on my Christmas tree this year.

I just loved the colours she’d used and thought they looked very similar to Stampin’ Up’s real red and lucky limeade.

So I decided to use this colour combo to make some Christmas cards.

I used the Big Shot and the scallop circle die from Stampin’ Up! for these bauble cards…

I used border punches and a variety of circles punches to make the embellishments, and added a small length of gold elastic thread from Stampin’ Up! (sadly retired), to be the “hanger” of the bauble.

It could be used either as a large gift tag, or a single card …

The Holly Berry Bouquet designer series paper from Stampin’ Up! is lush and the glittered stripes pattern is so Christmassy!  Love it!  The card would look equally good with any of the floral patterns from the same set.

A quick and easy card to make, but so effective and easy to reproduce.

Holly Berry Bouquet pinecone – tutorial …

I received such a positive response after I posted a photo of this Holly Berry Bouquet Pinecone – one of the projects from the samples made for the Stampin Up stand at the NEC Hobbycrafts event in November.  I have been completely bowled over.  Thank you for all your lovely comments and requests for a tutorial…

It’s taken me a while to put a tutorial together; this is now ready and available by clicking the sidebar button.

This is a great Christmas project to do, and would make an ideal gift for friends and family.  Anyone placing an order with me of £25 or more + p&p, will receive the tutorial for free (UK customers only).

I first saw this type of project at the Stampin’ Up! Regional Training event in High Wycombe held in September.  One of my fellow Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators, Teri, had made lots of projects using the gorgeous new Candy Cane Christmas fabric from Stampin’ Up!  I really admired the round 3D project she’d made, which looked like a pomander, and just had to have a go.  I don’t know how Teri made hers but I made one from designer series paper from Stampin’ Up! instead.

Christmas trees and pennant parade…

This is the last of my series of pennant parade cards made for the NEC event in November.

I added a piece of Holly Berry Bouquet designer series paper, some vintage ribbon and just a few rhinestones for some added bling.

I found the pennant parade stamp set so versatile and pretty cool to use, and now that we have the matching pennant punch it makes it really easy to make beautiful cards, whether for birthdays, invitations, Christmas, or any occasion you like!  Love it!
