One more time …

Inspired by Pinterest, I couldn’t resist using some retiring items one more time …

You can see the original card by Danielle here.  Christmas is the perfect time to bling it up a bit, so I finished off with a sprinkling of adhesive rhinestones.

Here’s what you need to make today’s card – all supplies from Stampin’ Up! -

cardstock: naturals ivory; stamp sets: contempo Christmas, baroque motifs; ink: lucky limeade, early espresso; accessories: holly berry bouquet dsp, corner rounder, adhesive rhinestones.

Wirral card making – Christmas stamp-a-stacks …

I met up with some friends in Wirral for a little crafting session this week. As it’s now less than 17 weeks to Christmas (oh my word – where has this year gone to? And the new autumn/winter catalogue will be out tomorrow!) – we made a stack of Christmas cards – 5 each of 2 designs – one traditional and one more modern.

*

We used a masking technique to stamp a Christmas wreath onto whisper white cardstock using one of the images from the autumn days stamp set from Stampin’ Up!, in two colours using stampin’ write marker pens - old olive and early espresso …

It was surprising how quickly we could stamp the images – it seemed to take no time at all!

And for a more modern look, we used pool party cardstock and ink to make this snowflake and bauble card, and added adhesive rhinestones in different sizes for sparkle…

A Charming Christmas …

I know we’ve only just put our Christmas things away for another year, but I just couldn’t resist making one last Christmas card with the Charming stamp set from the new mini catalogue. Don’t you think the round stamp from the set looks just like a snowflake?!

I used an offcut of whisper white textured cardstock leftover after making the card I posted here yesterday, and added this as a panel down the centre of a standard A6 size base card in pool party.

The sentiment is from the Contempo Christmas set, stamped in early espresso ink directly onto the whisper white panel.

The “snowflakes” were stamped in pool party onto whisper white cardstock, punched out with the large square punch and adhered to the centre panel with stampin’ dimensionals, with a rhinestone added to the centre of each snowflake.

Card recipe: stamps: charming, contempo Christmas; cardstock: whisper white textured, whisper white smooth, pool party; inks: pool party, early espresso; accessories: stampin’ dimensionals, rhinestones, square punch.

What a charming Sunday…

What a great day!   It was so frosty overnight – this morning the whole countryside looked like it had been sprinkled with dazzling diamonds!

My friend, Deborah, and I got to see quite a bit of the country as we drove to Michelle Last’s craft event in Bicester – some 168 miles, or 3 hours away.  That meant a really early start for us – even before the birds were awake – but it was so worth it to spend time with our fellow Pink Ladies.  We came back full of ideas and inspiration, and having had a wonderful day crafting, laughing and having fun.

One of the cards from my inspiration station - made with the Charming stamp set …

Recipe: sahara sand, whisper white and calypso coral cardstock, lucky limeade, island indigo and calypso coral inks and matching brads; perfect polka dots embossing folder, stampin’ dimensionals.

All supplies from Stampin’ Up!
