Baby blossoms, Cath Kidston and friends …

Isn’t it great to get together with friends?  We had a craft party recently at Anita’s house (you’ll remember the thank card and gift I made her to say thank you here) with some lovely girls who come from all walks of life – nurses, a PhD student from Germany (hi Maike!) and my lovely friend, Sarah, too.  We had such a laugh!  There was a cuppa, cake, and crafting, affectionately known as the Three Cs.  And there was lots of giggling going on I can tell you!  And we got lots of cuddles from Anita’s baby too!

We made three, Cath Kidston inspired projects, using the beautiful springtime vintage designer series paper, which is still available in the mini catalogue until the end of September, and the baby blossoms stamp set, which is sadly retiring at the end of this month, so if you love it make sure you order yours quickly …

We started off with an easy thank you card using the springtime vintage designer paper…

We moved on to making our own background paper, and added some gorgeous seam binding ribbon too…

Then, using a basic A6 card base, we turned it into a gift box!

We had such a lovely evening … lots of laughs, lots of drink and lots of cake.

Everyone seemed really happy at the end of the night with all the lovely projects they’d made, although I think we were having a bit too much fun and our evening ran over just a little as you can tell from the hands on the clock!

Big thanks to everyone for making it such a great night.  And special thanks our lovely hostess who looked after us all so well.

Cherry thanks…

I love the challenge on the Less is More website this week - buttons and bows are my favourite embellishments!

This was a quick and easy card to do, used very little supplies, and I love the way it turned out.

I stamped all images onto whisper white cardstock and then popped up some faux buttons,

made with the sweet buttons embosslit, with dimensionals on to the cherries – love it!

Stampin Up supplies used:

Cardstock: whisper white, real red; Inks: real red; Stamp sets: tart and tangy, thank you kindly, baby blossoms; Accessories: stampin’ write markers in real red and garden green, real red satin ribbon, stampamajig, stampin’ dimensionals, sweet buttons embosslit.

Love what you do, and share what you love…

I needed a card for my friend’s birthday and was inspired by a card I saw a while back on Caroline Skinner’s blog

This lady is uber-talented, I loved the colours and the way she had put the card together – just gorgeous.  Here’s my take on it…

What I love so much about Stampin’ Up! is its wonderful craft community where everyone is encouraged to share ideas.  Their mission statment is “love what you do, and share what you love…” and I do just love crafting!  And I am so blessed to be an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator.  I get to meet so many wonderful people, and share the fabulous Stampin’ Up! products – how cool is that?

First birthday…

It was my friend’s little girl’s first birthday a little while ago.  She is such a little cutie!  I can’t believe a year has gone by already since she was born - they grow up so quickly don’t they?

He asked me to make a card for Olivia as a keepsake, so I used lots of pastel, sherbet colours to make this flip album …

It opened up to reveal her name and a space to write on …

And again with a space for a pic …

I left lots of space in the centre to add photos, and added labels for some journalling.

He and his wife loved it!
