Winter white wedding …

With Christmas just over, there is new cause for celebrations today -

a wedding is taking place …

what a wonderful time of year for a couple to get married and start a new life together…

Wedding card for Andrea and Ste

I printed the sentiment and names onto whisper white smooth cardstock

which goes so easily through my home printer,

and used textured whisper white cardstock (retired) for the base card and punched hearts.

I adhered the hearts with dimensionals to raise them up a little from the card.

I love using white on white, and added some adhesive rhinestones for sparkle.

I hope the weather is kind to the happy couple and the rain holds off -

it’s been a very wet Christmas here in the UK,

but I’m sure even the weather will not dampen their happy hearts today.

For the pageboys …

When my friend, Sarah, asked me to make cards for her bridesmaids and pageboys I was absolutely delighted.  You can see the cards I made for her bridesmaids here.

Whilst she knew exactly what she wanted for her bridesmaids, when it came to the ones for her pageboys, she left it totally up to me to decide on the design and colour.

Having used neutral colours for the bridesmaids, I decided to carry on the same theme for the boys …

The little button brads from the vintage trinkets were just perfect for buttons on the waistcoats. Sarah loved them!

Vintage wedding fan fair…

I love the beautiful fan fair designer series paper from Stampin’ Up! and it was just perfect for a vintage style wedding card.  I did some stamping around the edges of the paper using the fabulous established elegance stamp set …

with a little bit of stamping on the inside too …

I was very honoured to be asked to make the wedding cake too.

I’ve known the bride for many years, since she was at senior school with my daughter, and I was delighted to be part of her special day.

She knew exactly the size, design and colour of cake she wanted to perfectly match her wedding colour scheme.

The photo shows the cake with the working board still in place as I didn’t want to assemble the cake before it got to the venue …

Some old olive satin ribbon from Stampin’ Up! (retired) finished off the cake board.
