Love is like a butterfly …

The Stampin’ Up butterfly punch is fabulous and I love using it on my projects:

I was playing with colours and loved this combination. I stamped onto cardstock first using various stamps and colours, before punching out the butterflies. I inked up the edges with crumb cake ink, and made little faux buttons for the centres with the left-over stamped cardstock pieces. I couldn’t resist adding a bit of bling and am really happy with the way it turned out! There is even room to add a sentiment if I wish…

My Cherie amour…

I love that song by Stevie Wonder! I was lucky enough to see him in concert in Manchester a couple of years back. He is one of my all time favourite artists and the concert was fantastic! I had the best time! Anyway, I digress…

For this card I was experimenting with new ideas and love the shabby chic look of the tag. This style of card could be used for birthdays, anniversaries, or even Valentines…but this one went to a very special friend of my daughter…

Stampin’ Up supplies used:

Cardstock: very vanilla, real red; Inks: crumb cake, real red; Stamp sets: artistic etchings, en français; Punches: 1⅜” circle, crop-a-dile; Accessories: dsp from hostess and bella bleu sets (both retired), pewter jumbo eyelet, real red striped grosgrain ribbon, linen thread, mini glue dot, sponge daubers, stampin’ dimensionals.

Fast and fab-u-lous, daahling…

I needed a quick thank you card for my friend who helped me out recently, so I turned to one of my newly acquired stamp sets – fast and fabulous – which is a level 2 hostess set in the current Stampin Up catalogue …

I love the spring-like colours and it really was quick and easy to do. I think it’s a really versatile card that could be used for thank yous, birthdays, get wells, and so many other occasions.

Just believe…

Ever since I got the Just Believe stamp set from Stampin’ Up I’ve been longing to make a landscape card with it. I’ve owned a brayer for a while now but not used it very much and thought I’d take the plunge and have a go.

So tonight Matthew, I’m going to be … Barbara Gray …

I am so pleased with the results and it was so much fun making it! Some of the darker ink bled underneath the masking tape a little at the top, but I decided to leave it like that as a design feature … because there are no mistakes in crafting, right?

Stampin’ Up supplies used:

Cardstock: whisper white, so saffron; Inks: so saffron, pumpkin pie, cherry cobbler, soft suede, black staz-on; Stamp sets: just believe; Accessories: black stampin’ write marker pen, stampin’ dimensionals, black gingham ribbon (retired), sponge daubers, stamp-a-ma-jig, low-tack masking tape from husband’s toolbox.
