Madison avenue glamour …

I love the gorgeous glimmer paper from Stampin’ Up! and how it looked on the card I made a few weeks back here,

so I used it to make a birthday card for my niece, Becky …

Becky's birthday

I stamped a patterned background with versamark ink and clear embossing powder using the madison avenue sale-a-bration stamp set, together with my new love – the distressed dots background stamp from Stampin’ Up!

I love that glitzy glam paper against the black card – so sparkly!

Here’s what I used to make today’s card – all supplies from Stampin’ Up! :

cardstock: basic black, whisper white, silver glimmer paper; stamp sets: memorable moments, madison avenue, distressed dots; inks: basic black, versamark; accessories: clear embossing powder, heat gun, typeset alphabet dies, big shot machine, adhesive rhinestones, stamp-a-majig.

Glimmer glamour …

70th birthday for Anne

Today’s card was inspired by one of my cakes.

The silver glimmer paper looked quite striking against the basic black card,

and looked so sparkly and pretty in real life …

My daughter’s friend asked me to make the cake

in black and silver, with feathers …

70th birthday

… for her classy, diva nan.

I was really pleased with how both the card and the cake turned out.
