About me

Hi, my name is Gill; I live in Wirral, which is a beautiful peninsula in the north west of England close to Chester, North Wales and Liverpool.

I’ve been crafting virtually all my life in one form or another.  My lovely mum, Lily – the inspiration for my craft and blog name – introduced me to the wonderful world of crafting at a very young age. She taught me how to knit, crochet, sew, arrange flowers…in fact she could turn her hand to just about anything!  Through her I developed a love of all things creative.

In 2005, my fabulous husband bought me a gift voucher for crafting goodies for my birthday.  As I took my first baby steps into the wonderful world of papercrafting and card making, I was completely hooked! My passion has since grown literally from a shoebox, to a large bag, a unit in the dining room, and now the spare bedroom has become my very own craft room.  How lucky am I?

I love to share with my friends, family and anyone who enjoys crafting.  At the beginning of 2010, I discovered Stampin’ Up! and I’ve made some wonderful friends, and enjoyed their fantastic products too, of course!

All my spare time is taken up with card making and paper crafting – I just love it!  To me it’s like therapy.  It makes me feel good and I get so much enjoyment from crafting that it feels like the best thing in the world.  Creativity is good for the soul and can brighten even the dullest of days.

As Franklin D. Roosevelt once said – “Happiness lies in the joy of achievement and the thrill of creative effort.”

Thank you for visiting my blog.  I hope you enjoy.
