A tribute to Cath Kidston …

It was my cake class teacher’s birthday this week – she was so excited that her hubby had taken her shopping and bought her a Cath Kidston handbag for her present – lucky girl!

So, in a tribute to Cath Kidston, I put a card together for her using the everyday enchantment sale-a-bration designer series paper …

I adhered the dsp to the front of a bashful blue base card, and teamed it with some polka dot designer series paper from the soft subtles collection in bashful blue. I stamped the polka dot frame from the four frames stamp set in real red onto whisper white cardstock, and used my stamp-a-majig to line up the sentiment from the sincere salutations stamp set and stamped it in early espresso ink. I punched out the stamped image with the decorative label punch and popped this up on stampin dimensionals then adhered this to the card. I finished off by adding a length of real red grosgrain ribbon (retired) tied in a neat knot.

Judging by her reaction in cake class this morning, I think Tracey liked her card!

Flirty thirty…

Rachel had a 30th birthday party last week.  I was inspired by a card on Splitcoast Stampers - I loved the soft and subtle colours, and the layout, so got out my Stampin Up supplies to case this pretty card…

Sale-a-bration thank you notes …

Well … Stampin’ Up’s sale-a-bration is drawing to an end for another year … sniff…  just one more week to go … but I have so enjoyed using the beautiful stamp sets and designer series paper as they are just gorgeous and what’s more they are absolutely FREE!  What more could you ask for?!

When I got together with my friend, Deborah, this week, we did a little crafting and made a set of little thank you notelets using the everyday enchantment designer series paper.  We added little linen bows, paper roses and rhinestones.  Inspired by a set of notecards on Pebbles blog, we used co-ordinating cardstock in riding hood red, and made little embellishments using various punches from Stampin’ Up…

The cards were to be attached to bags like gift tags – so I did some stamping on paper sandwich bags with the elementary elegance stamp set.  The frame was just right for writing each recipient’s name in  – perfect!

A fabulously floral Mother’s Day …

I received some beautiful flowers for Mother’s Day …

They are gorgeous and I’m sure my photos don’t do them justice – they are stunning in real life, and the colours are amazing – I feel totally spoiled.

In cake class this week, we made a floral plaque …

And I made some Mother’s Day cards for my friends using the fresh vintage sale-a-bration stamp set …

a pink and a blue …

I stamped the same design I’d used on my gift bags here.

I liked the way the blue one turned out so much that I made a smaller, A6 size version for a birthday card we made at Velda’s craft evening this week too…

I love the effect of the two tone colours on the main image.

Bashful blue and marina mist colours go so well together.

I took flowers to the garden of remembrance for my own mum this weekend – St Patrick’s Day will always remind me of her.
