It has taken me a while to get this far, but …
… remember the never ending card I made for our wedding anniversary here?
well I thought you might like to see it in action …

Wow! I can’t believe it’s been a whole year since I started my lil’ ol’ blog! How time flies when you’re having fun – and boy have I had fun! Since joining Stampin’ Up, I have met some very talented crafters and made amazing friendships. I was encouraged by my lovely upline, Michelle Last, to start a crafting blog …
So,12 months on from my very first blog post, after over a hundred projects and posts, I’ve had over 20,000 visitors. I’m amazed and so thankful to each and everyone of you who has taken the time to stop by and pay a visit, especially to those of you who have left me encouraging comments – I really appreciate your support.

My card to share today is a thank you gift set I made for my friend for hosting a craft party at her house last week…***

I did some stamping on the inside of the card, the envelope and made a matching gift tag too…

She seemed very happy with her gift …

Shading and colour was added using my aqua-painter …

The sentiment was stamped onto balsa wood from my stash.
All other supplies are from Stampin’ Up!

Over at the Less is More site, this week’s challenge is a recipe to use a combination of 3 previous challenges …
Oh my word… what to choose? So many possibilities!
My friend, Sarah, asked me to make some gift vouchers for her boyfriend. She’d decided on an 80s theme and his party invitations were in really bright colours on a black background, so I needed something that kept with the theme. For the challenge, my card is a combination of…
Week 7 – masculine
Week 24 – circles
Week 29 – things that move

I used a combination of punches and the Party this Way stamp set from Stampin’ Up! for the card front, and the gift vouchers for the inside were designed on my computer…

I used a white gel pen to add some highlights to the “vinyl records” to bring them to life.
I love the way the cards looked as a group…

Not only is it Bank Holiday weekend here in the UK, but it’s also the Mathew Street Festival in Liverpool, affectionately known as Beatles’ Weekend. It is the biggest annual free music festival in Europe, with 5 large, open air stages, and it’s right on our doorstep – woo hoo! The music is great, the atmosphere is fantastic and it’s a great family day out.
I’ve checked the website and there’s a great music line-up this year so … party this way!

My neighbour’s little boy had his 2nd birthday the other day. I can’t believe how quickly time is passing! It doesn’t seem two minutes since his was born…
The theme for this week’s challenge on the Less is More site is “Things that move”, so I couldn’t resist using an owl as one of my ‘things that move’ on my card, because the owl from Stampin’ Up is just so cute! … I added a balloon and some bunting flags from the Party this Way stamp set too… so I guess all three are things that move!

A couple of movement marks under his wings to make it look like he was flying, and he really came to life…
All supplies from Stampin’ Up!
Another great challenge from Chrissie and Mandi again this week – they really make you think and get your creative juices flowing! I love playing along with their challenges when I’m able… just wish that was more often…
