Better late than never …

I thought whilst I was on the subject of Christmas, I would post a pic of the card I made for my hubby… better late than never…

I learned how to make the punch-art snowman on Dawn’s blog, and used it as a topper for the card, adding some real red striped ribbon.

He loved it! (although I think he’s biased)

Stampin’ Up! supplies used:

Cardstock: whisper white, real red, bashful blue, pumpkin pie, black, brushed gold from my stash; Inks: bashful blue, real red; Stamp sets: delightful decorations; Punches: heart to heart, large tag, scallop edge, ornament, ¾” circle, word window, corner rounder, crop-o-dile; Accessories: white gel pen, black stampin’ write marker, stampin’ dimensionals, sticky strip, real red striped grosgrain ribbon.

Colour mix inspiration…

I had some ink pads on my desk and was struck by how beautiful these colours look together:

I loved the colour combination and thought I’d make a thank you card.  I took inspiration from a similar card I saw in last year’s Stampin Up Ideas book and Catalogue:

I love the way it turned out – not exactly the same as the original but more inspired by…

The Stampin Up Ideas Book and Catalogue is always a great place for ideas and inspiration.  You can view the current catalogue online, or if you would like a paper copy of your own, please contact me and I would be happy to help.

Stampin Up supplies used:

Cardstock: whisper white, crumb cake; Inks: crumb cake, so saffron, regal rose, baja breeze; Accessories: paper piercer, stampin dimensionals; Stamp sets: heard from the heart, bliss (my favourite and available for free during sale-a-bration).

Thanks for stopping by today
